Buying scalper tickets for the olympic games

There was one event I really wanted to watch, Men’s Basketball. I especially wanted to watch China vs. America on the 10th. Unfortunately because of the popularity of Yao Ming and the overall hype over basketball in China, tickets were impossible to get. They were sold out weeks in advance. However, that was the official sales, there are always black market sales going on and I’ve got a lead on them. Rumor is that the price for 2 tickets to the China-USA basketball game is 500 Yuan, about 3-4 times the regular ticket price. It may seem high but if you’ve traveled halfway around to watch a sporting event, another 500 Yuan($80), is not going to stop you from watching the games. Maybe I’ll even get decent seats and be able to watch LeBron, Kobe, and the others take on Yao and Yi. I know it won’t be too much of a competitive game as I expect USA to win by at least 20 points. However, I’ve heard from many around the world that the Chinese team has gotten a lot better in the recent years so they may surprise me. I’ve seen them play from time to time. They are not very athletic, but the shooters are very precise and hit a high percentage of shots. If they can rotate the ball well and put Yao in the middle, it may prove to be an interesting game. I’m excited just to watch.
