An Italian man who wrote himself as homosexual recently Won a lawsuit against the Italian government and received 100,000 Euros as compensation for discrimination. Since some officer in the military screening process obviously sees homosexuality as a psychological imbalance(which is not uncommon), he felt strong enough about it to send it to the state licensing department. This resulted in the man getting a license for the disabled instead of a regular license. A license for the disabled must be renewed every year instead of every ten years. The man sued for discrimination and won 100,000 Euros.
Now, to me, this is a mistake by the government. Some guy in the military screening process obviously does not understand homosexuality entirely. But to award 100,000 Euros. They should have just given him a regular license and told the officers that homosexuality is not a psychological problem but a natural one. The court course award is a little much in my opinion.
