Nancy Pelosi proclaimed that George Bush has been a total failure during his years in office. She cited the war, the economy, the energy crisis, and many other issues that Bush has utterly failed upon. While I do agree with her that Bush is an idiot and a complete and total failure, she forgot to mention that congress, and for many years, the democrat-controlled congress let him have his way so she doesn’t have much to brag about. As a leader of the democrats, she should have been the first in line to “hold the line against the darkness”, but she, like all the democrats has balked again and again when faced with the mighty George Bush. So at leat part of the blame falls back upon herself. |
But people aren’t being fooled anymore at just being pissed off at the president, congress ratings have also hit an all-time low with the rating hitting just 14 percent. People are realizing that congress has had the power to stop the president but has failed to do so and in failing to do so have utterly failed the American people. Congress has done nothing about the war, done crappy about the economy, and has stagnated on the energy issue. So while our president is probably one of the worst to take the oath of office, congress isn’t off the hook either. We’ll replace one this November, maybe we’ll replace a good portion of the other?
